Ill-fated Levendi is represented by two runners in 3YO event.

Tasmanian-based sires will be strongly represented in tomorrow’s feature three-year-old event at Elwick, with several locally connected stallions set to make their mark.

The late Levendi has two runners engaged, headed by topweight Tempt The Gods and The Little Bay. Both gallopers were secured as bargain purchases at the 2024 Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale, each knocked down for just $5,000, and now have the opportunity to further boost the stallion’s legacy.

Grenville Stud’s Stratosphere is also doubly represented, with last-start winner Lawrenny Boys joined by the promising Zambezi Blonde, adding further intrigue to what shapes as a highly competitive contest.

Completing the local stallion line-up is Motree Thoroughbreds’ Turffontein, whose filly Accusaient will be looking to make her presence felt.

The race promises to be one of the highlights on a strong Elwick program, which also features the Pink Cup, an important annual event where the Tasmanian Turf Club raises funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Racing begins at 12:15pm, with full coverage available on Tasracing Live. The rail is out 12 metres, and the track is currently rated a Soft 5.
