Goddess Of Rock- gave her sire Toorak Toff a siring double.

Tasmanian-based stallions enjoyed a red-letter Sunday, producing no fewer than seven winners across meetings at Hobart and Swan Hill.

The evergreen Wordsmith continued to enhance his remarkable record when three-year-old filly Geegees Mercedes shed her maiden status in Hobart.

Toorak Toff was the standout sire of the day with a double, courtesy of Jedd’s Jet and Goddess Of Rock, while Armidale Stud’s resident stallions also made their presence felt. Needs Further was represented by Tassie Power, and Alpine Eagle added to his growing tally through Flying Billie.

Grenville Stud’s Stratosphere maintained his outstanding run of form when Wild Nights saluted in Hobart, continuing what has been a stellar season for the sire.

Capping off a memorable day for Tasmania’s breeding industry was Motree Thoroughbreds’ Turffontein, whose son Cartoon Graveyard claimed the feature event of the day, the Swan Hill Cup over 1600 metres.

The impressive spread of winners across two states highlighted the ongoing strength and influence of Tasmania’s stallion ranks, with established sires and emerging forces alike continuing to deliver on the racetrack.
