Struth (Capitalist x Speedonova filly) heading for a short let -up after impressive jumpout.

MyRacehorse’s first venture into Tasmanian racing took another exciting step forward on Tuesday morning, with a group of micro-shareholders given the opportunity to see their promising young filly up close at Brighton.

MyRacehorse purchased the Capitalist x Speedonova filly for $120,000 at the 2026 Magic Millions Tasmanian Yearling Sale, with leading trainer Stuart Gandy entrusted with her preparation. Following a vote among shareholders, the name Struth has been submitted to Racing Australia for approval.

A group of owners gathered at Gandy’s Brighton stables on Tuesday to watch the filly complete trackwork before hearing an update from both the trainer and jockey Chloe Wells.

The filly has been in work for approximately eight weeks and has already made two trips to Longford. The first was for a gallop, while the second saw her take part in a jump-out, where she travelled strongly throughout before finishing third.

Wells was impressed by the filly’s professionalism during the exercise.

“She is the ultimate professional. She did everything right. She went into the gates well, stood there quietly, showed very good gate speed and settled into a rhythm nicely,” Wells said.

The youngster will now head to the paddock for a well-earned break before returning to Gandy’s stable. The trainer expects she will continue to develop and be on track to make her race debut during the 2026-27 Ladbrokes Tasmanian Summer Racing Festival.

With a large ownership group eagerly following her progress, there could be plenty of voices shouting “STRUTH!” when the talented filly eventually steps onto the racetrack.
